With strong national leadership, community empowerment, and support of many partners, the tide is turning on Ebola. The road to zero is bumpy, but together we can get there. We must sustain the drive to zero new cases. But beyond Ebola, the three countries need support to recover.

There are urgent needs across basic services and reviving livelihoods.

The three countries have national development plans they wish to return to as quickly as possible. They have come today to tell us of their determination to coordinate their recovery, and to work with regional and global partners. The UN will continue to support each stage of this journey; the drive to zero, the early recovery, the medium and longer term development.

We thank the leaders for their determination to overcome Ebola and to mobilise the necessary support for full recovery.
